To our readers: Thank you. If you didn’t read and share, we would not be the voice we have become in the NJ education conversation. In 2021, we launched this newsletter to ensure an area of communication free from censorship. We remain actively censored daily on Facebook, but we will never stop putting our message out there for you, for free, for all of our children.
Our one and only resolution for 2022 is to be the change with you. We will be there to empower you to fiercely and effectively advocate for your children.
We will never quit. Bring on 2022.
Humble brag, and shout out to Save Jersey for including me (Kristen) on this amazing List of women to watch in 2022🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Many of you know my story. Much of why I work so hard is to leave a legacy in my children of who I am, and what I will do for them. I was diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer on February 11, 2019. My children were 1 and 4.5. I’ve been racing against time to create a record of me, for them. Matt Rooney and Erica Jedynak, you just put this year’s goal over the finish line. ❤️
Here’s my final letter to my District for 2021. It’s always nice to introduce yourself to the new Acting Superintendent on New Year’s Eve! Cheers, freedom friends!
Hello Ms. Scussa, Mr. Coesfeld and Ms. Espenberg:
As Mr. Coesfeld is aware, I have been in frequent communications with the District regarding my son’s mask exemption status. Mr. Coesfeld and I met with Dr. Ferraro in early December in an effort to reach a consensus on mitigation strategies. Although we all left the meeting with an apparent agreement, my written confirmation statement was deemed inaccurate and we have not yet revisited the conversation.
Now that my son has been referred for speech therapy, which was one of the initial issues I raised in April 2021 relative to my son’s adverse reactions to continued masking, I would ask that we meet again. In the event that Governor Murphy does not lift EO251/253 by January 11th, I will expect to renew our conversation.
I will be asking that NO mitigation strategies be implemented. I am no longer willing to negotiate away all of my son’s medical rights. All I asked was that he be given the bodily autonomy and mental awareness that he could pull his mask down for 5-10 minutes without leaving his desk. I was willing to leave him masked on the bus, in hallways, activities, etc.
If this request is too much to ask, then we are back to start. He has experienced physical and developmental adverse side effects from the masking. The State has yet to show any evidence that masking actually prevents viral transmission, nor has it provided any clinical trial safety data in support of extended mask-wearing in children.
I will NOT be putting a N95 on my child in order for him to receive the free, appropriate public education he is statutorily guaranteed. I am losing patience with the never-ending pandemic procedures with no off-ramp other than to await to expiration of the ESSER funding’s grip on our schools.
Turning to a related issue, I am aware of the pending guidance that will segregate unvaccinated students in extra-curricular activities. It is also my understanding that schools will be implementing bi-weekly testing procedures of the student population.
Please allow this email to confirm that under NO circumstances do I consent to any testing of my child.
Please this time plan to record our meeting and/or include the Board attorney.
I am hopeful we can reach a resolution amicably.
Thank you for your attention and best of luck in your new roles. Congratulations to Ms. Scussa and Ms. Espenberg.

2021: Prelude to An Avalanche
Very grateful to be part of this group. Masking children is an exercise in sadism . Immoral evil child abuse. Period!
This article gives a very good dressing down of the whole issue
