There are so many different things happening right now at the federal and state level. All conflicting.
At the federal level, Biden’s attempts to force OSHA to enforce vaccination and testing for private business has been thwarted by several courts.
Recently the contractor Mandate has been suspended in 3 states. Now the only Mandate that remains is the federal employee mandate.
Don’t worry because Dana Wefer is the lawyer in NJ fighting the federal employee mandate and she has a plan.
Meanwhile the NJ state capitol is going backwards. As always. These State Capitol Joint Management Commission dopes decided to require anyone entering the legislative portions state capitol complex to show proof of vaccination or the negative results of a COVID test 72 hours prior, and STILL wear a mask inside the building. That didn’t rub well with the Republicans when the mandates finally hit their place of work.
The problem is, this is unconstitutional; a provision in the State Constitution states that members of the Senate and Assembly shall "be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the sitting of their respective houses, and in going to and returning from the same.” The only exception is in cases of "treason and high misdemeanor." So your representative could be pulled over for going 210 down 295 to get to the statehouse for a vote, just flash their ID at the state police and the police would have to send them on their merry way without incident. The police can’t stop a sitting legislature from voting the will of the people, but apparently the Democrats think they can. The Senate and Assembly Republicans will challenge the mandate which violates the state Constitution.
SO NOW the Republicans are worried about the Constitution when it violates THEIR rights. Meanwhile, my kid is still in a mask at school all day long with her rights violated. However, the Republicans are going to do what the kids aren’t willing to do. Violate the Mandate.
So now the Republicans are in a stand off with the State police. The troopers seem to think they can violate the State Constitution, because why not? The Governor does.
“I have a hard time envisioning troopers handcuffing anyone ... but I do think they’d have the ability to refuse entry to those men and women.” — State Police Superintendent Patrick Callahan on troopers enforcing the unconstitutional Statehouse vaccine mandate.
Thanks for so much weirdness NJ Officials. And now all NJ voters can see: this is our circus and we voted for these clowns.
How can we even get the masks off the NJ kids if the top level of NJ government, WHO MAKE THE LAWS, can’t even get away from state vaccine mandates? Meanwhile the federal mandates are falling apart. The federal government didn’t even attempt this nonsense on our representatives. The Federal Democrats wouldn’t DARE prevent the Federal Republicans from voting if they won’t show their papers. Who does this stuff? NJ apparently. What a joke. If you keep voting Democrat in NJ, you really need to rethink your choices (unless you voted for Jamel Holley, then good job).'
Of course our Head Clown Murphy made this anti-science, anti-data statement about the NJ Republicans bucking the vaccine mandate “It’s just ridiculous. Let’s stop playing politics – this is going to put people’s health at risk.”
Murphy even sounds like an even bigger chooch in the wake of the new paper published in the Lancet where they recognize the clear evidence that the fully vaccinated are a possible source of transmission.
What are we doing here? What is the point of forcing other people to be vaccinated in the name of ‘public health’, knowing full well that it won’t stop transmission? What the F is all this fighting for? Oh my Lort NJ democrats (with the exception of Jamel Holley, the only sane one) LET US LIVE OUR LIVES!
