The coalition of American Mama Bears of 2022 has truly been one of the few rays of sunshine out of the pandemic storm. Where the leftists in America continue to erode the identity and roles of women, our individual advocacy has merged us into a force for the protection of the rights and freedoms promised in our Constitution, given to us by our Creator.
Some of us are moms, some of us are not yet moms, or were never able to have our own children. We are white, black, brown, straight, gay, married, divorced, young, old, and everything in between.
Our differences don’t divide us. We are united by our mission to preserve the innocence of childhood and our unshakable commitment to be vigilant defenders of freedom from government overreach.
Among the thousands of women I see speaking out, creating advocacy organizations, running for office, hosting seminars, and raising future freedom-loving children, here are just a sample of the courageous and beautiful American Mama Bears of 2022.
Jenny Schmitt, Ridgefield Park, NJ-Admin of Ridgefield Park & Little Ferry Parents for Choice NOT Mandates
“I owe it to my girls to fight for them and teach them how to be strong like they have taught me. I will always stand up, even if it means standing alone.”
Theano Kolovos, Holmdel, NJ-Admin of Holmdel Fresh Faced Schools
“I can't even vote dammit!
My husband and I are Canadians with not a single relative in America. I'm fighting for our children. For the American dream we dreamed of our entire lives. I'll be damned if anyone takes that away from us. We will always fight for freedom because this is the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Lindsay Laird, Voorhees, NJ-Admin of Voorhees Fresh Faced Schools
“I’ve never been aggressive with politics and very rarely would I openly share my views. I was of the opinion that you should quietly observe and use your vote as your political voice. When Covid hit and I watched the world crumble to its knees at the hands of arrogant and self serving bureaucrats, my opinion changed. As I watched chaos unfold and my children continually suffer, my voice became louder and stronger. The beast in me had been awakened and there was no turning back. I decided that there was nothing I feared more than my children’s freedoms being ripped away and their future being torn to shreds by an all too powerful government machine that formed here in the USA. My son and daughter are my reasons. The reason I choose to get up every morning, suit up and fight. I want a better future for them and I will protect them with all that I am. In the end, God wins. Until then, I will wake up, throw on my Mama Bear Armor and head out to the frontlines to protect all the cubs!”
Shana Frondorf, Franklin Township, NJ-Admin of Franklin Township Fresh Faced Schools
“Last spring, when the “mandate” was lifted, I picked the boys up from school and we went to ShopRite. When we walked in, my one little guy lifted his shirt collar to cover his nose and mouth. I stopped. I kneeled down to his level, and brought him back to the present moment. I encouraged him to look around, and pointed out how some were wearing a mask and others were not.
I took that opportunity on the ride home to talk about the true meaning of freedom and choice. Sometimes that means standing up to do something that not everyone else does, and maybe they’ll feel brave enough to stand with you. And if they don’t, that’s okay, because you need to be true to yourself.
They still remember this day, a year later. They are my why.❤️”
Christine Grier, Ocean County, NJ-Admin of Ocean County Conservatives
“When my daughter Sophia was born, my first outing with my precious cargo included a stop at work to show her off to my co-workers, who had shared in the joy of my pregnancy. As I was walking down the hall holding my baby, I was suddenly overcome by a post-pregnancy surge of hormones that stopped me dead in my tracks. It was a memory that has never left me. I looked at my newborn and felt that if anyone tried to harm her in any way, I would rip them to shreds, like a tiger. Truly, I had the image of a tiger in my head. That moment changed my life. Nothing was about me any longer, my life now belonged to my baby and my family. While I don’t have the intensity of that emotion any longer, it is no less true. I would still rip to shreds anyone who threatened the safety and sanctity of my children and my family. The events of the past few years, including masking my children’s beautiful faces, segregation from their friends, attempts by Government Schools to interfere with our relationship and poison their minds with divisive and factually untrue information and inappropriate sexualization resurrected that tiger.
While there have been many losses in my battles, I am in no way feeling defeated, and I will continue to fight to ensure they have a healthy, happy and loving childhood, free from evil, outside influences. They are my children, and I will channel that tiger that has taken residency in my soul since 2008. I will not sit around and meow to my friends, I will roar to the powers that be until they are no longer in charge. TICK TOCK Mother F’ers!”
Deborah Wellings, Voorhees, NJ-Admin of Protect Our Children-Camden/Burlington County and Candidate for School Board 2021
“My name is Deborah and I am first and foremost a mom to Justin, my 14 year old son. Justin has limitations in his abilities and has overcome many challenges. I am a fierce advocate on his behalf and for other special needs kids. I have always been interested in politics with an insatiable curiousity which has not waned, and I have become more passionate in the last two years upon realizing our liberties, freedoms and constitutional rights were slowly being stripped away. I have always been opinionated and sought justice, in my job as a paralegal in the commercial insurance defense field, and in all aspects of life. The children are our future. We have to do all we can to protect the integrity of public education.
I ran for a seat on the Voorhees Board of Education last year and came very close to winning. I will be running again in November and am eager to reach out to members of our community to spread awareness and gain insight and hope to be able to serve as a member of the board to advocate on behalf of the children in Voorhees. I hope to be successful in protecting our children's education and freedoms along with the other mama bears and will always seek justice to protect their constitutional rights and freedoms in any capacity that comes my way.”
Karen Friedman, Medford, NJ-Admin & Founding Member of Unmask NJ Schools (Predecessor to NJ Fresh Faced Schools)
“I love my family. I’ve been married to my husband Jeremy for over 21 years. Our son Max is a freshman in college, studying Robotic Engineering and our daughter, Olivia is a sophomore at Shawnee High School.
I became an advocate for freedom the past couple of years and particularly since Covid and the government overreach, which has done immeasurable harm to children. From the loss of learning with school shutdowns, restrictions and mask mandates has caused an epidemic of mental health issues with young people.
In six months there were six suicides at WPI, where my son goes to college. I helped activate other parents in our Facebook group to understand that their restrictions were affecting the mental health of students and by our pressure, all of the restrictions were lifted quickly.
I’ve also been involved in advocacy in NJ, from attending local board meetings, protesting in Trenton, creating advocacy groups on Facebook and engaging with legislators.”
Ann Senger, NJ-Special Needs Mama, Advocate & Teacher,
“I am a Mom to 3 boys, 2 in high school, 1 in college. I worked for 8 years in Phillipsburg School District in their School Based Youth Services program with high school dropouts on getting their GEDs and job skills. Then had kids and worked in a Catholic school for 10 years doing a preschool aftercare program, as an aide, subbing and teaching 2, 3 and 4 year olds. My kids have always attended Catholic schools because I always knew what was going on in public schools, (what’s happening now didn’t happen overnight).
We’ve made a lot of sacrifices to provide this for them. 2 of my kids are diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and 1 also has OCD, so we’ve had our share of struggles, tears and some counseling over the years. I’ve been rather involved in their education over the years, fighting for what’s best for them (Catholic schools have some of the same mindsets influencing them as the public schools.) I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a master’s in Religious Studies. I am currently not working because I don’t want a vax, weekly testing or mask wearing. I am a firm believer in promoting chastity for young people and even attended workshops by Molly Kelly years ago, if anyone heard of or remembers her!”
Jamie Bodine, Vincentown, NJ-Mama Bear & Admin of Unmask 08088
Hello from the Bodine family. My name is Jamie and my husband Irving and I have been advocating for the children, ours and yours alike, over the past few years. It began as we watched our kids mental health take a back seat to masking protocols. We have attended nearly every board meeting in our town since, while also reaching out to government officials, rasing awareness, running for the board of education and preparing to do the same again this year, as New Jersey pushes to teach all our children controversial sexual topics. We believe that if religion has no place in school, neither do these controversial subjects. We will continue to fight for our children to attend school for the sole purpose of academics and basic life skills as opposed to hypocritical and controversial agendas.
Stay tuned for Part 2!
