Its been 3 weeks since school started in High Point Regional Highschool, Sussex County, and this teacher hasnβt taught a damn thing in US World History, but all the kids now know what a βbrave spaceβ is.
What is this strange community contract that these children have to participate in and sign, and what does this have to do with US World History?
Welcome to DEI in history class. This is all leftist political activism coming right to your school through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, now written into your schoolβs curriculum. Congratulations, your kids are being indoctrinated and wonβt understand the contract they are creating and signing.
Brave Space is a classroom environment that acknowledges the challenges that both students and faculty have when attempting to have discussion around difficult and/or sensitive topics such as race, power, privilege and the various forms of oppression for the purpose of learning.Β Β Brave Spaces are created when both students and faculty commit to actively engaging in theΒ 6 Pillars of a Brave Space.Β Β
Vulnerability.
Perspective Talking.
Lean into Fear.
Critical Thinking.
Examine Intentions.
Mindfullness.
This βBrave Spaceβ topic came after the first few weeks where the kids learned about Wabi-Sabi and β5 Teachings from the Japanese philosophy that can drastically improve your life β, straight from the official blog of some guy named βOmar.β Looks legit.
Not sure how that lines up with US world history either. This isnβt a college religion, nor philosophy class. Lessons on Wabi-Sabi are typically found in religion college classes, not a high school US World History course.
These teachers gone rogue. Its been 3 weeks of school and these kids havenβt learned a lick of US World History.
Just teach History guys, and stop with the weird religions and strange contracts. You are freaking the kids out.
We need a plaintiff. This is gross.
