High property tax as a percentage of personal income (4.98%), the highest property tax in the nation.
High sales tax rate (6.63%), 8th Highest in the nation.
Highest income tax rate in the region (10.75%), 3rd highest in the nation.
New Jersey is worst in the North East Region for taxes, but number 2 for the nation overall. California has that title.
in 2020 to 2021, Small businesses also suffered long term damage caused by Murphy, from the longest shutdowns and restrictions in the nation during the pandemic of small businesses. B
These same small businesses are also facing $1 billion in unemployment tax increases over three years, to harm them even more.
Between the schools and the taxes, this state is unlivable and we need to fix it.
