We have to use the right term. It’s called “curating” the books. Apparently the county and school librarians in New Jersey can’t be bothered to do their job of curating, so the parents have to do it. Curating is just when a person decides the right things to include in an exhibit or bunch of items that others will see. The librarians’ job is to pick the books that go into a library. If the book publisher sends material that doesn’t fit, they take it out of the library. Just like an editor won’t print all the stories given to him. A publisher doesn’t print every book. A movie producer doesn’t make every script. You can’t put every book in the library. Not all are appropriate.
Even Substack has standards and prevented me from publishing unedited picture from Gender Queer I also was banned on TikTok for the EDITED version so even their standards are higher than the average New Jersey School librarian.
The book Gender Queer is recommended for 18+ however, you can find it in high schools or the the teen section of the library.
Your kids can even be shown naked cartoon pictures of other kids by your school nurse, as they did in Cherry Hill last school year. Everyone has lost their sense of appropriateness when it comes to showing pornography to children.
Of course the teachers union is all into showing kids pornography's. Notice how they just ignore the fact that the books geared towards LGBT teens have graphic sexual content. We should be asking the question why they want to show sex books to LGBT teens.
Some of theses books are straight up pornography. Pamela, a friend of mine is making a list of controversial books that are in New Jersey schools. This is not about cencorship, its about showing appropriate content to teens in our schools. Get a copy of these books and read for yourself.
Parents in other states (like Dearborn Michigan) are starting to understand the issues in the school, particularly those in the Muslim community. Great turn out of Dad’s at this BOE meeting. Great job protecting your kids guys!
Its not about being anti-gay, its about being pro-child innocence.
The public libraries go out of their way to display this garbage, too. Seems like they're begging us to react from every corner of society
Is it me or is the NJEA and the Demonrats of NJ being paid off to actually believe this is appropriate? Can someone from the NJEA respond with common sense and a logical reasoning behind this? Inquiring minds want to know.
