The original COVID19 is gone from New Jersey according the NJ state dashboard which tracks the variants.
So why in the world would our state legislature propose a bill in the Assembly (A4334) and the Senate (S316) that “Requires students, staff, and others present at institutions of higher education to receive COVID-19 vaccine.” We are forcing people to take a vaccine that is clearly no longer working for a 2+ year-old disease that no longer exists in the population.
The bill states “No person shall be required to receive a vaccination against COVID-19 under this section if the person will have no in-person presence on the premises of an institution of higher education.” So its ok if you don’t get vaccinated, you just can’t show up to campus.

And there is no scientific evidence that these boosters benefit college age students.

Can’t thank you enough for fighting this. My daughter is in college in MD. She has a religious exemption but we were informed that it “expires” every year so she had to reapply. I’m prepared to counsel her to leave if it is not approved. These college mandates need to be stopped
