Despite the victory a few weeks ago by the Republican Party, next week, Phil Murphy will embarrass our state in front of the entire nation. Murphy is expected to sign a bill that will allow pornographic books and literature into 2500 public school libraries in 600 school districts across our beautiful state. This bill is the brainchild of your blue New Jersey Democratic Party, who cynically called this bill “The Freedom to Read” bill. Sponsored and introduced into the NJ Assembly by 26 Democrats, NO Republicans signed on to this bill EXCEPT for one isolated Republican: JOHN BRAMNICK, a man who fancies himself as a future governor. This may be the worst move of his political life. With his “yes” vote in the Senate, Bramnick’s run for Drumthwacket is over.
There was a time in New Jersey when we ALWAYS erred on the side of caution regarding our children and grandchildren. Not so with Jersey Democrats. They have thrown aside truth, beauty, and goodness in education and replaced them with graphic depictions of oral sex, butt plugs, and mutual fondling. Highly sexualized books with detailed descriptions on how to best use sex toys and instructions on how to log on to sex websites can be stocked on the shelves of our school libraries. Books that would land you or me in jail are all legally permissible in schools under the Democrat “Freedom to Read” law. They think this is a good idea.
See Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia explain what is in the bill:
If all of this concerns you, remember that things will not change as long as New Jersey continues to elect blue Democrats. But there is good news. In 2025, EVERY SEAT IN NEW JERSEY ASSEMBLY IS UP FOR RE-ELECTION.
Below is a list of the blue Democrats and the four blue Republicans who voted “YES” in favor of the “Freedom to Read” bill. These representatives have broken our trust concerning the well-being of our children and grandchildren. Look for your assembly representative in this list and make a mental note: they do not have your children's or grandchildren's best interests in mind. Vote them out of office.
Time for change in New Jersey
Below are the representatives who voted yes to allow pornography in the school libraries:
One of the major issues is that Martha Hickson the former librarian from North Hunterdon HS where this all started over 3 1/2 years ago spearheaded this with Andy Kim and involved the American Librarians Association and fought against the BOE and took over at each board meeting with her liberal agenda to influence the board members to keep the books in the library under the guise of "banning books'. The fight from the public was never about banning books it was about keeping pornography out of the school library. Martha has since retired and is now working for the ALA and with Democratic legislators and some Republican legislators and Governor Murphy to pass this Bill. Our children are not safe from evil people with an evil agenda.
