Kristen’s Pick: Joseph Viso, Jr, NJ Assembly Candidate, LD36
Running mates: Chris Auriemma for NJ Senate and Craig Auriemma for NJ Assembly, District 36
Remember my very first pick? It was Chris, Joseph’s running mate!
I feel like Forrest Gump in that scene where he says, “You coulda knocked me over with a feather!”
Right under my nose was another champ.
Joseph is a small business owner, a tradesman, a volunteer firefighter, AND a two-time cancer fighter and survivor.
That’s my guy.
He has my mind, my heart, and my soul.
I am in this to support candidates with knowledge of the burdens imposed by NJ to overtaxation and overregulation of small business owners. I have enormous respect for tradesmen and tradeswomen, and hope that my two sons consider a similar career path.
A fireman? My step-grandfather and step-father served as Chiefs. My Step-brother is currently a career firefighter and I see Chief is his future.
But the cancer. Ouch. Joseph is me. A fighter, a survivor. He is here for the good.
Once you have faced a potential death sentence, and having faced it twice, I know this candidate’s willingness to serve comes purely from a genuine heart.
Meet Joseph Viso, Jr…
Kristen: Who are you?
Joseph: I am a licensed electrician in the state of New Jersey.
I completed two apprenticeships. One as an electrician, and the second as an elevator mechanic, with the Local 3 IBEW, EE division. Since 1999 I have run a small business.
I also attended Bergen County Police and Fire Academy and graduated Fire One. I served as a volunteer firefighter in Carlstadt, New Jersey until I had to resign due to cancer.
Kristen: Why are you running?
Joseph: I am a two-time survivor of cancer. I’ve decided to dedicate my skills to help save our state.
My number one issue is voter integrity.
Our state Senate assembly team works together for America first. Our country is under attack. Freedom of speech is under attack. Our voting system was attacked and we are being told we cannot even speak about it. I never thought we would come to this place in America. But I love my country and have to get to the bottom of it and ensure our vote to save our republic. We have to start at home. The Legislature can do a lot to solve the issues NJ is facing.
Lastly, I would like to talk about critical race theory. It is inherently racist. We cannot be teaching our children that an entire group of people are racist, according to the color of their skin. This type of rhetoric will only further divide our country at a time when unity is so needed.
There are so many other issues I am concerned about that I intend to address if elected to the NJ Assembly.
Kristen: What is your stance on parental choice for medical freedom in schools?
Joseph: I am against mask and vaccine mandates. Parental choice for medical freedom is a must. Our HIPAA laws and rights are being danced upon.
Kristen: What is your favorite Amendment?
Joseph: My favorite amendments are the 1st and 2nd Amendments However, I must say the Second Amendment protects the First. So I suppose the Second Amendment is my favorite.
Kristen: Best pitch on why and how we can support your campaign?
Joseph: I ask for your support because I am running with team worthy of your trust. Please visit our Facebook pages to learn more about ways to support our campaign, and we would appreciate any ways you help bring voters to know of our platform and qualifications.
