New Jersey Schools have been directing the social transition of students without the parents’ knowledge or permission under policy 5756. New Jersey seems to be out of touch with the law, because according to the courts in Wisconsin, it completely undermines parental authority when the school policy allows children to choose a new gender identity and begin the process of socially transitioning without the parent’s consent. According to the Wisconsin courts, parents have the right to make medical decisions for their children. Social transitioning is a MEDICAL DECISION.
We have yet to have this challenged in a New Jersey court… until now…
SHORT vs. CHERRY HILL PUBLIC SCHOOLS & NJ DOE
Cherry Hill resident and parent, Rick Short, has filed a lawsuit against the state of New Jersey. Image of the press release stated below.
Rick has stated his endorsement of “Parent Choice Candidates” Jen, Nick, and Jack in Cherry 🍒 Hill. VOTING for Pro Parent Rights candidates and restore sanity to all of New Jersey Schools is crucial. You can find Parent’s Choice Candidates in your district by clicking HERE (please share link!).
Will Insurance Cover Lawsuit Expense?
While Rick Short is suing Cherry Hill to notify parents, our State Attorney General Matthew Platkin continues to sue Hanover, Middletown, Manalapan and Marlboro over new policies that notify parents of ANY mental health issues that is affecting the student.
Everyone is suing everyone. So if you are a school that lies to parents, you are going to get sued by parents; if you are a school that supports parental notification for mental health issues, you are going to get sued by the state.
The Hanover Attorney just stated that the frivolous suit by the AG (forcing schools to lie to parents) will not cost the district one cent because the insurance is covering the legal cost.
This brings an additional question: will the insurance pay the school when parents sue the district for violating their 14th amendment rights? At the end of the day, parents have the right to make medical decisions for their children, that includes mental health decisions. We are spending all this money and time in court to only find out schools don’t have any right to socially transition your kid.
More Schools Hide Social Transitioning from Parents (Gloucester County)
Meanwhile, James O’Keefe from OMG media is on a tear exposing districts for lying to parents.
At the end of the day, the constitution is on our side when it comes to making medical decisions for our children. A government school that houses kids 180 days a year has zero ability to properly provide the psychological care needed to create good outcomes for a child who is questioning their gender.
Sadly some parents are not even aware what is happening in schools. People need to wake up.
Glad to see the lawsuit printer cranking up in NJ!
