Once that money was rained upon the District budget holes, the Unions realized how to leverage their raw power. They bullied, I mean successfully advocated for additional funding.

Then, the American Rescue Plan, Act 3 of the big fraud to control the narrative of the pandemic through federal bribe money from Grandpa Joe, this time.

Grant applications come with strings, of course. Take a peak and seek how much your School District received in the most recent, 3rd round of funding. APR list by town.

Three times a charm, right? By this third round of funding, most government-subsidized entities have figured out just how to play the pandemic game well enough to pretend to operate in a way that is “normal” for their customers, but to claim pandemic hardships that require obedience to Covid-paranoia to keep the Big Daddy government sending dollar bills to the dancing lady on the pole.

Your school dances for money. Your kids wear masks for blue-State Governors dancing for Papa Joe. There’s no conspiracy, no secret trick to fixing our problem.

We must wean our Districts from their addiction to this new-found sugar daddy.

Sugar babies, time to go back to the drawing board.

Step 1: Get a huge team back into those BOE meetings. Make it uncomfortable. Demand freedom or the lawsuits will come.

Step 2: Become a County committee member, volunteer for a Congressional candidate who will turn off the money faucet (like John Flora in CD-5), or plan to run for Board of Education.

Step 3: Inundate your State Legislators with requests to stop the pandemic punishment torture of the children. It seems the NJ Assembly GOP members may finally be ready to listen…

Ready to attack on a new front?

Here’s the assignment. Send an OPRA request to your School District for the following items:

1. Mask policy for September 2021 School Year

2. Policy and procedures for reviewing mask exemption requests for September 2021 School Year

3. Any and all instructions, letters, emails, memos or other written guidance from Department of Health (County or State) or Department of Education on how to review mask exemption requests, how to create a mitigation strategy for granted exemptions, and how to make reasonable accommodations for students with exemptions for September 2021 School Year

4. Standards for all exempted students by medical, mental, emotional, social, psychological, philosophical or religious accommodation needs for September 2021 School Year to be followed uniformly by all Districts

The point is: there’s evidence of discrimination. The NJEA loves to talk equal justice, right? Where is the equal medical justice?

As one Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education member once told us, “Sometimes you just have to do what you are told”.

I think there’s a Rage Against the Machine lyric that I would find responsive. Take a Listen if you can’t guess my reply.

Here’s a piece I wrote in July or August, when Nik and I were preaching this message before the September 2021 school session began. It remains true.

Bad news, guys. No one is coming to save us. 

We cannot wait for an election. Stop waiting for the King to return your rights to you.

Time to admit that we were complicit in the subtle theft of the rights of our children. I know you feel guilty. I do too. You can see the emotional, social and physical damages done to your children after a full school year of masking, distancing, and treating them as if they are germ-spewing murderers. 

Yes, you put the masks on their faces, for every good reason you had at the time. No one strong-armed us, we made a choice. We were compliant. We were scared, we needed to work, and we trusted our government.

Where did that get us? We are now wringing our hands and waiting on pins and needles for what? For some unelected, unaccountable government agency to create orders for your school board to inflict further damage to our children for another indefinite year, so that ESSR funds can rain on the system?

No

Say no. Louder. To the ELECTED school board where you are ENTITLED to voice your demand, and WITHDRAW your implied consent.

We were never asked. We were told. Did you receive an offer to mask your children as a condition of the free and appropriate public education that the State is obliged to provide? Of course not. 

Were you promised any accountability and promise to assume liability for damages by the leaders you entrusted to make medical decisions in your place? Quite the opposite. There is a circle of non-accountability spinning us around each time we ask for help.

You gave authority over your child's body to the School District, but you received no additional benefit for the bargain. Your child was legally entitled to the "free" public education. Your child was already entitled to be accommodated, not ridiculed and ostracized for asking to breathe freely, without the filth of bacteria strapped to their face. 

How long will you wait before you draw the line? Wake up and smell the hypocrisy.

Take back the rights you so compliantly released to the schools. 

GO TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. USE YOUR VOICE.

There are magic words we teach children to protect their bodies. We talk of bodily autonomy, we cringe at horrific stories of physical, sexual and emotional abuse perpetrated upon a child. We teach them to say NO, scream HELP, and gradually explain to them that it is their God-given body, their choice.

So why now, do you allow your child to have no choice, no voice?

It's long past time for you to get off of the bench, parents. It's time we play ball. Get your bench lined up and call the heavy hitters in. Call your parents, your grandparents, the media, your local politicians and scream, HELP!

I regret my compliance for as long as I complied. I regret standing by while a small group of parents in my town stood up, spoke out, and encouraged others to join them. I listened and watched too long, fearful of a backlash, of the cancel culture that permeates social media and school politics.

I've heard it said that silence is compliance, it's violence. I agree. 

SPEAK UP. Your children's bodies have been sold for ESSR funds. Learn about it. Find out exactly how much money your District accepted, what the funds will be used to purchase, and what conditions will be imposed on your children so your District can reward whatever companies, special interests, forces of power at work in the cycle of the business of education.

Go to the Board of Education meetings and DEMAND the dignity your child's body deserves. SPEAK AND TEACH FREEDOM.

Do not go gentle...Rage.
