Mask Optional Resolution

Ask your BOE to vote to end masks on Feb 10th.

Be proactive, not reactive.

Get on your BOE to make a resolution to end the masks as soon as the Governor’s state of emergency order ends on February 10th, 2022. Murphy decided to reinstate the Public Health Emergency to Respond to Omicron Emergency. In reality, he is really he is just paying off Sean spiller and the NJEA for their campaign contributions. The rates of COVID infection have dropped dramatically in the past few days according to the state dashboard. So there is no foreseeable reason why the child mandate will not end 30 days from Murphy’s declaration on Jan 11th, 2022.

We need districts to do this to keep this alive (and in the news) to let the legislature and politicians know that masking kids is very unpopular and we need to fix this now. Not fix it in June when Murphy seems to think the NJEA will no longer care about masking your kids. Don’t let him string your kids along until June with this barbaric, inexcusable practice of treating children as if they are the primary vector of spread. Its a lie according to all available studies.

Recently in New York, the Massapequa Board of Education voted this week to end the mask mandate in all district schools effective Feb. 21 (the end of NY’s mandates). The very next day, Governor Hochul was forced to discuss this at a press conference.

Here’s the clip where Gov Hochul mentions the possibility she’ll let the mask mandates lapse soon. She says a lot more before and after (in the most condescending, obnoxious tone) but I had to trim her long-winded answer to be able to post it here.

We need to keep pushing to unmask our children every day. Push your BOE to make the resolution with a specific end date of February 10th, 2022, the date that his state of emergency will end. Even if your school already wrote a resolution, make them write another one with the end date, recognizing that the ‘State of Emergency” CANNOT last for years!

Remind your school board that there is no justification for masking children who have a near zero risk of death, especially when the risk of suicide and murder is so much higher. We cannot continue on with this lie that masking helps children. It only hurts them.
