Kristen’s pick: Michelle Hurley, Candidate for the Flemington Raritan Board of Education.
Michelle came to my attention through her tenacity and boldness in our various social media groups advocating for parental rights in schools. Little did I know, she is more than qualified to speak on health issues in schools, given her background in both Biology and teaching. There would be no better asset to the Board of Education in these times of highly-technical health decisions being made by administrators without the extensive knowledge that is necessary to truly advocate for children from a scientific perspective. Michelle and her running mate JP Rolak will run under the slogan “Putting Students First” and support principles that will ensure high quality education that incorporates the voices of parents and traditional curriculum choices.
If elected, Hurley & Rolak will promote decisions that are:
Fiscally Conservative
Supporting Parent Choice
Opposed to CRT or Similar Curriculum
In her own words:
Kristen: Who are you?
Michelle: Michelle Hurley, Board of Education Candidate for Flemington Raritan School District.
Kristen: Why are you running?
Michelle: I have witnessed our Board make multiple poor decisions this past year and lack transparency that parents deserve. After becoming more informed and aware of the history of our Board and the state of our performance indicators for the schools, I feel obligated to become involved. I feel I represent the interests of the majority of parents in our District and we need a voice on the Board.
Kristen: What is your stance on parental choice for medical freedom in schools?
Michelle: I believe without long term safety studies conducted for both extended mask wearing in healthy children and the mRNA vaccines, parents must be able to weigh the risk/benefit and make the decision for their own child. I know a school Board member only has so much power but they should be able advocate on behalf of the interests of their school community.
Kristen: What is your favorite Amendment?
Michelle: 2nd Amendment because I believe it is the only thing that is preventing us from being under restrictions like Australia is right now.
Kristen: Give me your best pitch on why and how we can support your campaign?
Michelle: I am informed, with a degree in Biology and spend a lot of time staying on top of new data and information as it becomes available. I hold a teaching certificate and taught high school Biology in a very challenging district for 4 years so I understand equity issues and the perspective of a teacher. I have ideas for solutions to resolve our financial problems and will advocate for fiscally conservative spending. How can you support our campaign? Just spread the word! The power of the people is incredible. We want the truth to be known by the public about what has transpired over the past year and I believe if you compare me to my opponents, the choice is clear.
