Kristen & Nik’s Pick: Mike Cripsi, U.S. Congressional Candidate, CD4

As you may recall, we wrote articles to spotlight both Mike Crispi and Steve Gray, the two most viable and conservative challengers to end the long reign of incumbent Republican Chris Smith.

I urged you to research both candidates, and I held back from putting my finger on the scales between these two very different yet both very dynamic and appealing men.

If these men were not both running in the same District, or not both running against the Kevin McCarthy money train, I would probably continue to hold my tongue.

But I see the trending of the GOP towards its usual, centrist losing streak.

We can’t waste this moment. The primaries must be that moment where the old guard gets the message so loud and clear that the cheese has moved.

When they are ready to play ball again, we can start listening. For now, play like they are not even on our team.

Pick the person you really want. We will deal with November when the time comes. We can’t play defense and run the safe plays again and again, trusting the same aging strategists who shake our hands and then laugh as we turn around.

Flip over some tables. Enough of the empty suits, empty words, and phony smiles behind slick campaign literature.

No more car salesman with nothing but disdain for the average Republican voter. I want candidates who are there with us, in the trenches, at the rallies, fighting the culture war, playing to win.

Vote for Mike Crispi. Roll the dice.
