Monkeys, Racism and Dr. Seuss

Cherry Hill schools (Camden County) have slowly turned into a woke bastion of nonsense that can twist a simple childhood musical into a lecture on racism.

The Rosa middle school students in the drama club made the commitment to attend vigorous play practices so that they could put on a spectacular production of the popular play “Seussical Jr.”, where the kids get to play classic characters like Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and JoJo. The kids are working hard, attending mandatory all-day rehearsal on the weekends starting at 8am. Last Saturday, instead of practicing their lines, the middle school kids were forced to sit through a full hour lecture on how Dr. Seuss was racist, how the monkeys in his books represented black people and how various white people throughout history were secretly or openly racist.

I’m going pause to point out the obvious here, if the superintendent and principal thought Dr. Seuss was a racist THEN WHY DID THEY HAVE A SEUSS PLAY IN THE FIRST PLACE? I mean, they thought it was racist enough to lecture the kids for an hour about it. And I’m reasonably sure that none of the kids thought the MONKEYS REPRESENTED BLACK PEOPLE until a white woke racist got up and told the kids this. As an adult, I didn’t realize that either, however, I also didn’t realize that one of my favorite Little Golden Books, Little Black Sambo, was racist too. I thought it was a powerful story about a brave kid who saved his village from tigers by being intellectually clever, and he liked butter on his pancakes. But we can’t have nice thoughts about childhood books anymore because everyone is a racist.

The woke scolding continued for the kids, and after listening to the race slander of Dr. Seuss, the kids were treated with a race-baiting book called "The New Kid" that jams bias stereotypes down your middle school reader’s throat. If your kid didn’t already know to be an everyday racist and make hurtful, racially charged remarks, don’t worry, this book will give your kid some new tips and tricks.

The “New Kid” is based on the author’s own life about attending a mostly white private school in New York City. This is one of those ‘banned’ books that teaches baby CRT, or “Anti-racism”. Overall, with all of the sexual garbage in the schools, this book really doesn’t meet up to the standards of a “banned book”. It’s good to read about other’s life’s experiences, however linking it to the racism of Dr. Seuss during a race lecture, while the kids are suppose to be at play practice, is just disingenuous on the part of the drama teacher.

The schools keep on saying they are not teaching CRT, but they are, every chance they get, in every class and in every club. Cherry Hill schools have been accused of spreading the message that we should segregate children into the "inherently racist" bin and the "inherently victimized" bin.  White children are being taught that their historical role in society is to oppress others, and black children are being taught that they are the oppressed.

The Rosa middle school library is also full of race-baiting books on prominent display such as "Me and White Supremacy (how to be a good ancestor)", "How to be an Antiracist", "How to be Less Stupid about Race", "The Black Friend on Being a Better White Person", and "Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy" -- all books that imply and assume that all white people are inherently racist.

Surprisingly, what the school is doing an actually isn’t about race at all. It’s about Paulo Freire’s generative theme, where education is for liberation. Teachers put kids in an environment where they can bring up questions inspired by negative ideas, by using relevant material from their own environment, so they can relate to it at their own level. This allows the teacher to bring these ideas of “oppression” into their vocabulary. The teacher repeats these ideas over and over again which allows the kids to see everything from this perspective. Eventually the kids will be so inspired that they join in the school’s activist cause to liberate the child. In other words they are turning your kids into little social justice warriors.

This great video where it explains what is happening in Cherry Hill Schools.

One has to question oneself as to why they are purposely teaching children to divide themselves, with encouragement by our government.
