Here’s the thing, the masks aren’t going anywhere unless we challenge it in our schools by chipping away at the edges. And we’ve already started doing this.
No masks while trying to eat in the lunchroom
No masks during strenuous activity in gym
Mask optional outside
And so now I’m telling you :
This is how you accelerate change. Go to your BOE and demand for more then what they are giving your child.
Last year I remember
kids required to run a mile outside with a mask on
Kids were required to wear masks outside
Kids required to take a bite of their food and put a mask back on
Kids were required to be behind plexiglass at the desk
Changes were made because parents complained. They showed up in mass at the school board and demanded more their kids.
Requests that push even further:
No masks during testing
or even
No masks when seated at desks
Kids can sit in the lunchroom with 500 other kids without a mask so why can’t we do it in the privacy of the 25 kid classroom? They are contained within a small setting so it not like it would cause an outbreak throughout the entire school. The kids can maintain the 3 foot requirement while seated.
School performance is down across the board in NJ. Grades have slipped. Its time to take the masks off during test time to give the kids a boost in grades.
I’d also like to point out, if you are an immigrant child in school at McGuire-Dix NJ, you don’t have to wear a mask. Check here on CNN. Look closely at the images, those kids aren’t in masks. Don’t your kids deserve that?
NJ kids are depressed because they feel hopeless. Give them something to feel like we care. Fight for your kid.
