Senate Confirmation pending Monday of "Pastor" Serena Rice to State BOE
We spent all day Thursday in the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, and testified against the Governor's next nominee to the State Board of Education. This will be the third candidate that will replace conservative members, who have had the courage to stand up to the Governor's tyrannical control of education in NJ, including the "grooming" of our children with abnormal and life altering sexual ideology.
Pastor Rice's church is the Abiding Peace Lutheran Church in Mt. Budd Lake. Here's the link to their website, which you MUST explore, and note the references to "affirming our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion and racial equity" on the home page.
It was obvious from her testimony, and her social media, that she will be in complete approval of anything the Governor would ask of her, although she stated repeatedly that she wouldn't let her personal views interfere with her votes as a Board member. (Ha ha ha!)
So -
The most effective and targeted action that we IMPLORE you to take MONDAY is to call AND email Senate President Scutari's office and demand that he withhold Rice's nomination from the full Senate confirmation vote on Monday. ALSO, call your own Senator, who will vote on the confirmation. The Assembly has no vote in the process.
Remind Senator Scutari of his Statement, in which both he and Speaker of the Assembly Coughlin stated last August,
“We believe that families should have a voice in what is taught to their children, and as long as we have a say over the matter, they will continue to,” they said. “And as always, all children deserve subject matter that is age-appropriate, posted clearly and transparently for families to review, and free from any politics.”

I'm sure you've heard by now that Rice's nomination was pulled. Sen. Scutari's office told me this afternoon that they received many calls requesting she be pulled. We can make a difference! Good work, folks!
