SOS: BABIES IN DISTRESS. Our humanity hangs in the balance in NJ.
Have you heard me rant about the Baby Mask Mandate yet? That was really a soul-crushing moment, that Monday announcement conference.
I heard about the press conference announcement of EO 264 (daycares must mask 2-5 year olds) on that Monday, September 20th. The monster made his announcement, and I was utterly floored.
The Sunday prior, Nik and I had a productive conference call with one of the attorneys handling an important class action case. We were able to give some good direction and insight to the attorney, and I was looking forward to the next phase of progress. My older son had a nosebleed while I was on the call. The fire in my heart was stoked again. I kept a photo of the evidence and made a note in my book, intending to keep a record of all the damages my son suffered as a result of the mask mandate. I was keeping a daily log.
Like a cancer diagnosis at 36, like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife, my safe space was invaded with the stroke of Murphy’s wicked wand. I had intended to spend that evening on a virtual BOE meeting, reminding my town that I still excepted them to fight for our children, or step down. That my son started nosebleeds again, just 8 days in to full-day masking. I had my signs all ready to go.
Instead, I had to hold back a deluge of tears. I made my points to the Board on our virtual meeting, knowing that I would now have a two-prong fight on my hands. As I watched the condescending, phony presentation from the BOE showing images of happy, unmasked children, while our Superintendent sat, masked, in his own home, my mind raced against the 4-day ticking time bomb of baby masking imposed upon even private facilities.
After the meeting, I couldn’t wait to reach out to our Legislators, and beg for help. That next day, I plotted and planned. I enlisted the team to help collect data. Shana prepared the spreadsheet of all spreadsheets. I attacked the list of calls with military precision. I was armed with data:
My strategy: anyone who empowered Murphy with powers of a King in June needed a special call from me, and would be put on record for their position on EO 264. I furiously dialed, left messages, sent emails, posted on social media.
The results were unsurprising. True Murphy lackeys expressed pure support for the baby mask mandate. One such Assemblyman, John F. McKeon’s staff advisor was so confident that he brushed off my statistics with a question: have any babies died yet from the mask? (The order had just taken effect on the day I called him). And as none had yet died, he told me he effectively didn’t care unless a baby died.
So we encouraged our team to flip the Legislature. Every Senator or Assembly person who empowered Murphy must go.
Do you know that the Office of Licensing told daycare provides to use the same approach to mask babies that they use to enforce wearing diapers and pants? And that the instructions came on the eve of the expected date of imposition of the mandate?
“DO YOUR BEST” to shove face diapers into 24 month old babies struggling to breathe, trusted child care providers! You got this!
I hoped that EO 264 would really break the right race between Murphy and Jack. I just couldn’t fathom how any liberal or left-leaning mama or dada could really stomach masking their babies after 18-19 months of not forcing babies to struggle to breathe. I saw that awful NYC daycare video. Babies instinctively fight the mask. As we all should.
It took a few weeks…
And then a baby almost died.
While we stood outside the Annex of the State Capitol, a mother, a nurse and other professionals met with Murphy’s Enforcer, Deborah Concovara, to discuss the near death of this former-Murphy supporter’s two year old baby.
And sadly, this mother was treated like the expendable garbage we are all seen to be by this administration. It took the near death, AND the complete disdain of Murphy’s surrogate to FINALLY wake this woman from her mask-accepting slumber.
Is this where we are in society? We need a baby to actually die in order for anyone in our Legislature to care?
I checked back in with John McKeon’s office, to see if the almost-dead baby was enough. The gentleman from my prior conversation promised to pass the info along, but a week later, and still no call back.
So my call to action is this: Restore Humanity. Reach across the aisle, ask a friend with opposing views to stand up for our babies. We have no one left to save us, but ourselves.
Is this what you want for your child?
Because I find it inhumane. Fortunately, we now know Fauci also funds the torture of dogs, so maybe now we will break the stranglehold he has on our babies.
Vote for Jack for Governor. Our babies’ lives literally depend on it.
