Spencer Kent's cowardly personal attack on NJ dot com last week was predictable, but I've been too busy with real-life responsibilities to respond. Between my family, job, and other obligations, I don't have time for petty squabbles or journalists masquerading as political operatives.
My response is simply this:
I’m tired.
I’m tired of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) (which brings in over a half billion dollars) putting the New Jersey Project on their anti-government group when we are trying to get parents to engage with their government to maintain their freedom and protect their children.
I’m tired of nutjobs calling and e-mailing our event venues trying to get our events canceled using internet lies and SPLC as the reason we should be canceled.
I’m tired of Advance Publications (parent company of NJ dot com), making $2.4 million spreading rumors and falsehoods about New Jersey residents. New Jersey news as a collective has turned into a trashy gossip column of non-celebrities that no one really cares about.
I’m tired of wet behind-the-ear journalists trying to make a name for themselves by trashing my name with a 30K grant.
I’m tired of the useful idiots using unhinged rhetoric fueled by big-money media organizations and Democrat PACs to fight against parental rights. They should recognize that parental rights is a non-partisan issue and all parents should be joining with us arm and arm to fight for our kids.
And I’m tired of people telling me to pay a lawyer out of my own personal pocket to defend myself from these defaming accusations from organizations with millions of dollars.
I’m tired of weak-willed people running away from being associated with parent’s rights because they don’t have the stones to stand up to the online crazies.
I’m mostly tired of everyone getting paid by frightened partisan hacks to destroy the New Jersey Project, meanwhile, some Facebook fool calls ME the “grifter,” refusing to recognize how much these news outlets are paid. I’m putting in my own money and my own time. I have negative dollars from all this.
I’m frustrated that I’m not being as mean as I want to be.
I graduated from high school thinking I'd left the drama, cliques, and cattiness behind, but as it turns out I just entered a bigger, more elaborate New Jersey High School filled with political operatives pretending to be a news organization. Journalists have devolved into social media-obsessed mean girls, peddling clickbait headlines, and sensationalized gossip. “Journalist”, Spencer Kent included me in his digital 1990’s style slam book and proudly spread it all over Twitter and Facebook with the purpose of taking down my reputation so he can line his pockets with money. His “journalistic” piece was void of fact but ripe with speculation that jeopardizes my unrelated full-time job, which supports my family. Meanwhile, he gets paid to spew his bullshit fan fiction.
Kent is just one of the many out-of-touch progressive cheerleaders who dominate the media landscape, belching into their echo chambers and stifling dissent for the people in power. The pursuit of clickbait “likes” has reduced journalism to a petty popularity contest, where likes and followers outweigh truth and integrity. Kent is just one of the many tools in this toxic culture where actual reporting has taken a backseat to snarky commentary, and the line between journalism and reality TV has disappeared.
Dear Kent,
Kent, you want to play dirty? Let's get down in the mud – high school style. You game? I challenge you to an online live discussion where we can ask each other questions. Just be prepared to talk a lot about your relationship with your own mother so we can get to the root of your beta male upbringing that clearly eats away at your self-esteem. You have my email, let me know when you are ready to zoom.
By the way, if your limp-🍆 interview style is representative of your phone call with Ryan McDonald, you should probably pussy out of any discussion with audio and video. I will completely understand if I don’t get that e-mail from you.
Yeah, I’m feeling it, this is the right kind of mean. Right where I want to be. FYI Kent, if you want to play the mean name game, I promise, you will cry first. Video below.
Who is the Real Fear Monger?
Kent is doing a bit of projecting with his accusations of “engineering outrage, weaponizing cultural issues, and sowing division and distrust.” Since 2020, Kent was one of those mask clingers who pushed disease culture on New Jersey, making it one of the last states to fully unmask. From his X profile, It looks like people are tired of his fear-mongering for a few years now.
Now onto the Nice.
I’d like to give a shout-out to Ann Tomoko Rosen with her thoughtful piece. If you like a more rational perspective from someone who wasn't just smeared by a man who is in the headspace of an acne-inflamed teen girl, I suggest you read it.
I’d like to give a shout-out to Jersey First who has been so supportive. Here is Fernando Uribe at time 1:17 giving his final thoughts. Video below.
One last Thought
The John Farmer Memorial Journalism Fund PAID Kent to write this article because Democratic political operatives are scared of dissenting views. That party is losing more democrats every day trying to separate themselves from smooth-brain progressive ideas like drag queen story hour for toddlers, masturbation technique books in your K-12 library, rabid antisemitism, and the newly inserted Pronoun Religion. Kent is just their new useful idiot mouthpiece. They will throw him away when he is no longer useful, and I will forget he ever existed.
This is pure gold, and I so admire your grit and determination to spread truth! Southern Poverty Law is a complete disgrace, cleverly disguised ( as are many other leftist groups) behind a name which sounds good. This Kent guy sounds like a real loser.
Ma’am, thank you for your voice and all that you do for the sane people of this State, and their children. I hope to bump into one day and buy you a beer or five… or coffee!
