The Democrats have been running Board of Ed candidates through the NJEA for years now. This is why schools are no longer non-partisan in the state of New Jersey. Its so obvious now; we see that our schools are pushing political progressive ideas on our kids like masks, anti-racist theory (which causes more racism), gender identity theory, lowering the age of appropriate sex-education, and in-school sponsored protests on democratic agenda issues.
WE NEED PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS TO RUN.
YOU are the only hope to change New Jersey schools back to a politically neutral place for our kids.

Arise NJ Helps School Board Candidates Win
Augusta, NJ: School boards in NJ have been at the center of controversy for the past three years. Since 2019, with the introduction of the new state health learning standards, there has been a new focus on school boards and their members. During the pandemic, interest skyrocketed as local school boards determined COVID19 policies including those around masking, testing, vaccination, quarantines, remote teaching, and modified school schedules.
Now that the pandemic has subsided, the focus has returned to controversial state standards that introduce topics surrounding gender and sexual education as early as kindergarten.
Arise NJ was focused on school boards before it was trendy. Founded in late 2019, Arise NJ is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides support to NJ residents interested in running for local Board of Education seats. According to their website, their mission is to “improve education by identifying strong community leaders and providing educational information for those engaged in or considering service on local school boards.”
Chairman Josh Aikens joined Arise NJ during the height of the pandemic in 2020. During his first year with Arise NJ, the number of people reaching out for information was overwhelming.
“The level of interest was quite astonishing, but very welcomed. We were able to run 300 candidates across the state. With the help of other grassroots organizations, many of those candidates won,” said Aikens.
Arise NJ provides assistance at no cost to interested candidates. From how to file a nominating petition, to marketing advice during the campaign season, Arise NJ supports candidates through the election. According to their records, in the 2021 November election, they successfully supported 126 candidates.
“A new wave of active, informed and non-political BOE members were born. It was a tremendous achievement, one we hope to grow year after year,” said Aikens.
Ari Donio is one school Board member who used Arise NJ during his campaign, and was victorious in his Franklin Lakes election.
Having Arise NJ as a resource to consult gave Donio the confidence to run. “Knowing there is an organization out there with experienced people who also care about the country’s future and recognize the importance of education was a huge encouragement to run a campaign,” he said.
Aikens and his team provide guidance to candidates like Donio to comply with confusing campaign finance laws. According to Donio, “Arise NJ was there to guide us on the technicalities which always seem to discourage people from running as it is complex and sometimes scary to get yourself into the election bureaucracy.”
When asked what he hopes to accomplish in the future, Aikens said, “We would like to see districts and communities gain more of a say over their children's government schooling. We also would like to see communities grow together with engaged citizens. It seems to be something we have lost along the way, which may be a root cause to this nation being currently divided.”
Arise NJ is composed of volunteer staff members and accepts tax-deductible contributions that support their efforts.

All I need to know is this organization thinks masks are political to see you're disconnected from reason and logic. Come on, we can and should do getter than this silly nonsense and focus on real issues rather than division through culture wars.
