My son, who is a senior, goes to this High School and he sees how there are more fights than when he was a freshman. The school never sends out letters denouncing violence, but constantly send out letters telling parents about “hate speech,” incidents, because they care more about protecting minority and LGBT students than protecting ALL students,
Nik, this mindset is marxist and half of the education system, more or less, is that. Its the system the globalists want and through governors like Murphy who keeps their agenda going, won't stop. There are many school staff that are the problem. We need to send a message and call for walk outs by students at the time of their funding, or something that will take these bad actors out. Our system of education has failed way to many times, this is a marxist mindset that is an agenda.
There needs to be more talk about what to do then just small remarks given by parents on many sites. This is not going away, unless we make it go away. Not enough standing up for your childs rights.
They do a lot. They get people on both sides angry. They fuel anger and hate and make it seem like racism runs rampant in the school district. It makes the POC feel like the administrators care. It makes the administrators feel proud to virtue signal and show how racist they're not. It makes the disabled/special needs students feel like the administrators don't care about them or care more about POC and words, rather than actual bullying and violence.
Those letters do a great deal, except stop students from freely using the N word.
You're not advocating for violence by punishing the attacker and not the victim. You are sending a message to the bullies that their violence will not be tolerated and we don't punish those who defend themselves. Defending oneself is not violence. It's self-defense. Big difference.
The same thing happened in Wayne Hills HS last week! A sophomore boy punched a sophomore girl several times, she ended up with multiple injuries including a concussion! A young man who tried to step in between them was punished and suspended from school along with the 2. This is crazy - the anger !
This is happening at schools all over the state, especially when they bring in a student who has been thrown out of other schools for bad behavior. There is zero accountability and when kids don't feel safe they will become connected with gangs as they see no other way. It has happened in every community that has reduced police budgets. Think it can't happen in your community? Count on it.
Violence like these fights has escalated in most districts, including the burbs, if you think it hasn't you aren't getting the truth. I've seen at least 9 fight videos over the past two years in my so called model school district who has armed pd on site at HS. Used to be one fight a year likely after school yes kids fight but it's out of control. Blaming the victim is a definite equity latest. it be interesting to see the statistics on pd calls to the schools across the state, data doesn't lie but NOT filing hibs does.
What do you think the kids just all of a sudden start punching each other out of the blue? There wasn't a situation that led up to that point? You would have to explain the behavior of random attacks.
Agree that home life is the issue but you can't fix the home from school, you can fix how schools react. when you have schools not holding a child accountable and not telling them they are better than that then there is zero hope because obviously their parents aren't able to handle it. They grow up and the cycle continues.
the school can't raise a child but they can demonstrate how to behave in the world. When you tell the child that got attacked well your at fault too, guess what that does to that child's trust in the world to protect them and knowing their worth protecting?
Without God you have no hope, right now the schools are under secular humanism through the philosophy of organized naturalism that's what your combating. Your posts do nothing but generate hatred and animosity you need to add into the picture God the Bible and the Ten Commandments period!
It's not my job to preach your religion. And I don't understand your religion anyway because you're telling me how hateful I am but then you follow me anyway.
This happened to my grandson in a different County, but worse. We need help. Any resources for lawyers or advocates that aren't connected with the school system or police department. There is some kind of coverup going on. Police didn't investigate fully either as far as we know and refused to show the video to his mom and him. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Your web site does enlighten us, but read all the responses, negative and depressing. Your comment about my religion was that needed.. Without God there is no hope..
I reflected on what I wrote, I did not mean your posts personally, you do good in alerting us to the chaos, and we do need to have that voice.. Thank you and God Bless
teach your sons: do not punch back. rather: tackle your attacker immediately - take him down. good if use your attacker's advances toward you as momentum for a "pull-down" in your direction, past you. would be good for all boys (and men, and women) to practice this operation in a controlled environment first.
I see your comment and you were removed. I disagree. You don't penalize both students when one is the aggressor and the other is defending themselves. It's very simple. Ask students individually what happened, view video if there is any, ask the teacher what they saw and heard and then make a determination. Punishing both creates a mindset that will cause students being attacked, to not fight back. Your logic is quite illogical.
Without God in the picture we have no hope.. The good thing is that the three monotheistic religions believe in many parts of the Bible.. It would be great in the fall of 2023 ( the year of our Lord) to start this.. God Bless, Pax.
What they're saying in the article is that the bullying is not getting properly addressed and it's escalating to violence. I don't see a problem with police being at schools, kids have to understand there are consequences
People don't punch each other at your job. If they did then they wouldn't have a job anymore. I think that you do not know enough about these situations to form an educated opinion. Kids are committing suicide because the level of bulling is out of control and never addressed.
Right now the violence has increased in girls. Please see the referenced article. You are making this about you and YOUR personal experience. Its CLEAR you do not have children from your thoughts on this topic. Your perspective is myopic, especially to assume that girls don't get in fights.

The conclusion made made about hate speech letters sent home to parents ... is about the mindset of the principal not the behavior of the student.

The students are not going to walk out for their rights . Their children.
There are some pretty smart kids. Its happened in other places throughout the year. Horrible what they are going through and being allowed by parents.
the children were duped into an abortion rally, they are still influenced by their teachers.
What do the letters do about the hate speech? Why send those home?

Kids don't get suspended anymore. They come back to school after small attacks.

There has been an increase in violence on 3 years and you attribute that to an increase in phones? Makes no sense

There has been more violence over all in new jersey schools. The crime rate is up all over new jersey.
There will be more videos on this topic next week. You will eventually see the issue. Bullies are emboldened now more than ever.

Happened in East Brunswick upper elementary literally yesterday. 11 year olds beating the piss out of each other.
The parent has a legal right to view video that involved his/her child. I have contacts. Provide me with your Facebook profile and I'll message you.

And your negative comment about me was also not needed. I give as good as I get. You didn't give me your best.

my point is ... don't fight a battle that you loose, in multiple ways.
nuetralize the offence

I didn't mean to do that, it was an accident.
Very sad, we need prayer back in schools, and God' s intervention..
Which prayer? Muslim prayer ?
Without God in the picture we have no hope.. The good thing is that the three monotheistic religions believe in many parts of the Bible.. It would be great in the fall of 2023 ( the year of our Lord) to start this.. God Bless, Pax.
The school is not qualified to conduct prayer in any religion.
