The Superintendent had stated multiple times that the opt out children would be placed in the library or a study hall. He had lied! This closet/utility room is unacceptable and looks more like a punishment for not following the state curriculum. Anyone that thinks this is OK should be ashamed!

Okay, I was relying on the part that said "I’ve been told by parents that this room has been used for years for in-school detention," and that parents had already told the superintendant... yet it is still happening and parents seem to still have their kids there.

Why would parents continue sending their children to this institution knowing this is going on? Is that not implied consent?
No. They didn't consent for unethical things. The problem is these school officials are not being held accountable.
