Fighting Mask Mandates... AGAIN!
The Schools Can't let it go.
On February 7th of last year, Murphy announced that masks and facial coverings would no longer be mandated for students, staff, or visitors in schools and childcare centers effective March 7, 2022. After 2 years of abuse, Murphy finally decided to stop his nonsense and let people decide how to medically take care of their kids in regards to the mask. Masks were having a negative medical impact on the kids in school and it was difficult to get your child a mask exemption even if your child was being medically harmed. By this time last year, we were done with it and it was obvious to everyone that it didn’t stop the spread of the virus.
Recently, the Cochrane Library, an authoritative collection of scientific databases, performed a meta analysis on 12 randomized clinical trials that measured the impact of surgical masks or N95 respirators on the transmission of respiratory viruses. Looking at over 610,000 participants in all these different trials, they still could not obtain a statistically significant p-value in the reduction of flu or COVID virus.
“We included 12 trials (10 cluster‐RCTs) comparing medical/surgical masks versus no masks to prevent the spread of viral respiratory illness (two trials with healthcare workers and 10 in the community). Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness (ILI)/COVID‐19 like illness compared to not wearing masks (risk ratio (RR) 0.95, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.84 to 1.09; 9 trials, 276,917 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence. Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza/SARS‐CoV‐2 compared to not wearing masks (RR 1.01, 95% CI 0.72 to 1.42; 6 trials, 13,919 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence). Harms were rarely measured and poorly reported (very low‐certainty evidence).”
Translation: MASKS DON’T WORK.
After all this, Mansfield Township Public school in Burlington county decided to Mask HEALTHY kids this week, in one particular classroom, based on recommendations from the Burlington County Health Department. There were an unusual number of covid cases in the classroom, so they did the scientific thing and forced a product on the kids that never worked.
Mansfield parents weren’t having it. Many parents were sending their kids to school with no mask, instructing the kids not to wear them. The school decided to segregate the noncompliant kids out of their classroom even though some kids, previously tested Covid positive, were back in the classroom.
Parents got together and had an in-person lengthy conversation with the superintendent and principal. After that, the school decided to put all kids back into their classrooms with the option to NOT mask.
Great job parents!! Great job Mansfield! They all decided to do the right thing in spite of the Burlington County Heath Department.
You have to ask yourself, what is the deal with the Burlington County Health Department trying to mask kids when clearly there is no clinical trial evidence that this intervention works?
The Burlington County Health Department medical director is Herb Conaway. The same Herb Conaway that is an elected politician to the Assembly. The same guy who is putting forth a bill to force students, staff, and others present at institutions of higher education to receive COVID-19 vaccine (A4334) and the bill to require vaccinations against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) be reported to New Jersey Immunization Information System (A4338).
Its obvious he has a political agenda which is in conflict with his position at the Burlington County Health Department.
Another overreaching politician with a personal agenda seeking to harm our children and threaten democracy.
This guy is a medical doctor?? How does he justify masks or the horrible vaccines? What science is he using? Even Lord Fauci has said the COVID and Flu vaccines are ineffective. Perhaps he has dementia like the POTUS.
