Your minor children have a “human right to read” about:
how to create a profile on sex apps
proper camera technique when sending out naked pictures
where to find kink clubs
the ins and outs of boy-on-boy and girl-on-girl sex
the variety of prosthetics that can be inserted into their vagina (toys, dildos, vibrators, and strap ons)
They also have a human right to see explicit sexual images. And of course, librarians and media specialists have a right to expose children to these materials without any sort of consequence, even if it violates the current laws.
Bill S2421 "Freedom to Read Act", sponsored by Senators Andrew Zwicker and Teresa Ruiz, establishes policy requirements for library material in public school libraries and public libraries and actually AMENDS existing laws to protect school library media specialists and librarians from opposition from parents.
REWRITING THE OBSCENITY LAWS
New Jersey (surprisingly) has a VERY strong obscenity law for minors. It clearly defines what obscene material is.
If you put the recent books being challenged against this law, they FAIL.
Democrats are so desperate to keep this narrative going that these books are educational that they are now proposing to CHANGE this obscenity law to specifically exempt librarians.
If you have to revise an obscenity law to allow your books in libraries, maybe you should think twice.
What makes a librarian incapable of giving inappropriate materials to minors? Why should they be above the law?
These Senators are pushing to give librarians absolute legal autonomy and authority over what materials are appropriate are children in public schools, pre-school and kindergarten to high school.
Mandating More Policies
This bill also directs for a ‘model policy’ to be established for book selection. If we have learned anything from recent experience from the Commissioner’s 5756, it’s that we do NOT want the state writing our local policies.
This bill takes power away from local elected boards to control what is in their own libraries.
Law Against Discrimination
This bill is so outrageous that it goes as far as amending the LAD. You know, the one that prevents discrimination based on race, religion, gender… and now : the refusal to remove library materials.
Yes, you read that right, librarians refusing to remove library materials are now a protected class.
Speak Up Now
This bill is being introduced in the Senate Education committee meeting THIS Thursday. Tell lawmakers that the obscenity law is fine the way it is and THERE ARE LIMITS to what children should be allowed to read.

The Other Side’s Story
Watch the video below of the sad story told by Martha Hickson, from North Hunterdon-Voorhees, regarding her nervous breakdown due to the parent harassment after she provided sexually explicit materials to minors in the school library.
How tragic.
There will be voices like this supporting this bill, so please use yours to oppose it.
At least someone is listening. I received this press statement from the office of Assemblyman Barranco from Morris County:
Barranco statement on inappropriate material in public schools: ‘the book ban hoodwink of the 21st century’
TRENTON, N.J. – Assemblyman Christian Barranco (R-Morris) issued the following statement on pornography and other sexually explicit materials that have been made available to students in public schools.
“For all the book-ban talk and freedom-to-read rhetoric these days, I cannot help but express the pent-up and overwhelming feelings of all those who have had the beautiful honor of creating and raising children in the 21st century here in New Jersey.
“I am certain beyond any doubt that there is not a single parent that I know who would endorse the banning of books. Books and the universal access to information and the written word is one of the most American ideas possible.
“The pent-up and overwhelming feeling I mentioned is the desire to keep pornography and sexually explicit content away from our children! Nothing will ever change that natural drive within a parent.
“I read recently that a student expressing support for a librarian in North Hunterdon said, ‘No one is going to stop people of my age from being curious.’ Exactly! Parents know this simple fact. Who doesn't remember that curiosity as a child? That curiosity is what we are trying to get in front of! Why would public schools make that harder for us?
“This is the greatest of all the hoodwinks attempted by the progressive agenda and I stand tall, for those of you who know me, against it and so does the massive silent majority. What could possibly be the motivation to expose minor children to pornography and sexually explicit content? I cannot imagine.”

Thank you for your continued efforts. I recently learned that my son in the Tenafly school system was part of a gym/ lifestyle class in which LGBTG... issues were discussed. I sent that form letter to the principal and board and BOE like 2 years ago. I think they did not keep accurate records. IF I find that the system is violating my wishes even after I send the opt out letter, what recourse do I have?
ALso I just learned that in the theater dept the Tenafly NJ High school is putting on Music man and the drama teacher mr. Cooper is censuring the dialogue and lyrics in the show b/c there are references to things like "jungle music" and "hussies" and there is a scene where the charaters dress up like american indians and dance. Dr drama teacher is trying to impose a woke agenda on an american work of art. What do you suggest I do? Write to the board etc...
