Upper Pittsgrove is among the more courageous schools coming up with a work around to prevent the unnecessary sexualization of your child. Your district does have choices in regards to teaching appropriate material to your kids without penalty. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. PAGSNJ lists the districts with the different work arounds. Take this to your district, tell them they can do it, because other schools have done it. If your school has a work around and is not on the PAGSNJ list, please let us know.
The Superintendent of my school district told me over the phone a few months ago that they would not be teaching any of the new standards and that he didn't care about losing points in terms of the QSAC. I can't confirm that in writing but should it be added to the list?
So be mindful most if not all of these districts are not Title 1 schools, meaning they don't take federal $. That's where the tentacles of the Deep State strangle districts, who are reliant on the money to run their schools. I sat on the board of 1 of these districts and will say for the most part it was asleep at the wheel. But for its wisdom to not take federal money.
