All…based on his military tiltle/unit on his FB page, he’s most likely in the Army National Guard and although a Lt Col is a relatively high position, and he most likely is in a leadership position in his unit, he’s not part of the leadership cadre at the Joint Base and a person of relatively low influence across the 40,000 plus population of the base. That said if he made those comments ‘out of uniform’, meaning not while on Active Duty nor drilling with his guard unit and serving in a military capacity, his views do not necessarily reflect a military endorsement. However, if his comments came across in a way that he was using his rank/position to impart influence or to assign level of importance or while in an official capacity then he’s clearly he’s crossed the line. I think the latter may be true, the fact that he changed his profile name suggests he knew he made a huge error, either way, this man is a coward…As a military retiree from Joint Base McGuire, I recommend flooding the Joint Base FB page with concerns and linking the article…this guy is way out of line.

This Lieutenant Colonel needs to be investigated and charged for a court martial hearing. He overstepped his duty and violated his oath to keep ALL American citizens safe from enemies both foreign and domestic. He treated a concern mother like an extremist and used his position as a means to threaten her and her family causing her to fear for her and her child's safety. This constitutes harassment under 2C:33-4. It could also constitute cyber bullying as well. The military should have no involvement in this matter and if this solider was smart he would have kept his position out of this or atleast had a disclaimer for same. Instead, he used it as a platform for Woke Military Involvement in an attempt to grandstand. I don't know about you but when someone tries to change their name or delete their facebook that leads one to believe they are hiding or guilty. Angela Reading should not have to pull her children over this incompetent soldier but if these teachings are going on I support her doing so. I too will be doing the same for my children next year but first I am going to unleash on the BOE and the woke community. If they want to teach this crap then I want a voucher for my kids to attend a private school.. NO taxation without representation right? We shall see.

Well his name fits him. It's unbelievable that high ranking members of the military have politicized themselves and feel so free to openly display biased, abusive and targeting statements. Who the hell does he think he is ? I hope someone passes this on up and action is taken against he/him for representing the military and their willingness to target ots own citizens. First of all he said her daughter was in the 2nd grade. It doesn't matter the child sees what is being displayed and or talked about. Contact the inspector general and have them look into Lt Col Shilling’s abuse of his position and using military resources for non-military reasons.
You cannot fix the government schools; they are working as designed. You can only remove your children from them.
Can someone please research his superiors and let us know, so we can voice our concerns.
