Thanks for detailing the meeting and agenda MG. Can you include or link to NJ test scores and national ranking over the last few years or any other data you know that present "objective" metrics on student performance in recent years/decades? Also, levels of classroom disruption, violence and criminal arrests in NJ public schools. I noticed the "school to prison pipeline" seminar on Thursday's agenda. I assume many NJ schools have implemented "restorative justice" disciplinary guidelines which have resulted in increased disruption and violence in other states.
It might be thee worst union ever, but the parents who continue to do nothing are the problem. The more we take our children out of these schools, the faster things change. We cannot keep going like this or these generations will become deginerates and it already started. When there are no morals, its society will kill themselves or fight to the death with each other. Its down right sickening to think that any teacher would allow this. They need to stand up as well and stop thinking only about the back lash, and the pay check. Its moral values of a society are at stake.
If you actually did your research, you would know drag queens and drag shows aren’t only sexual. i’ve been to drag shows for kids that were karaoke and dress up. it’s a form of self expression no harassment. if you don’t like it, don’t go see it. if someone else’s life style has THAT much effect on you, you’re the problem. As it goes for the books, if you want to ban sex books that’s one thing. if you want to ban strictly LGBTQ sex books that’s another. in school libraries i have seen many straight sex books as well, i didn’t see you say anything about those. Talking about LGBTQ is something everyone is going to learn about eventually. Talking about it doesn’t hurt anyone. Let people live and stop shoving your opinion in their faces.

People won't take their kids out of schools. Start by parents getting involved first.
Until teachers unions are decertified this nonsense will continue.
