Tolls increase on NJ highways, bridges and Tunnels
The average Turnpike toll for passenger cars increased from $4.95 to $5.10
Parkway passenger vehicle tolls increased from the current $1.96 for E-ZPass customers to $2.02 and from $2 to $2.10 for cash at toll plazas with one-way toll collection
Port Authority bridges and tunnels between New Jersey and New York increased $1
Travelers who use the AirTrain (monorail at Newark Airport) will pay a higher fare, up by 45 cents, to reach $8.
Tolls for the average Expressway trip will increased from 2.44 to $2.53
44-mile Expressway’s Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas increased from $4.40 to $4.55 for a one passenger vehicle.
Tolls at Pleasantville, Route 9, Mays Landing, Winslow and Hammonton and Pomona-AC airport will increase to 1.35 from $1.30
Cash customers tolls at the Williamstown and the Berlin-Cross Keys exits will go to 70 cents, up from 65 cents, according to an Expressway toll schedule.
The new toll rates are lower for E-ZPass users or drivers enrolled in the Expressway’s frequent user plan. Those rates increased nine cents to $2.91 from $2.82 at the Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas. E-ZPass tolls will go up from 88 cents to 92 cents at Exit 5 for Route 9 and increase from 78 cents to 81 cents at Pomona and Mays Landing.
Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Car tolls increases from $1 to $1.25 for drivers with an E-ZPass account and from $1 to $3 for car drivers who pay cash at seven bridges. Those rates affect the Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1), New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202), Route 78, Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22), Portland-Columbia (eoutes 611, 46, and 94), Delaware Water Gap (Route 80), and Milford-Montague (Route 206) bridges.
