Re: (Child’s name) D.o.b. ( / / )
Dear Principal (name),
I am writing on behalf of myself and my husband (Spouse’s name) regarding our concerns about the education of our minor child(ren), (child’s full name in Ms.(teacher’s name) (grade))- grade class. I will be sending copies to teachers as well as Superintendent (superintendent’s name)
I can not stress enough the degree to which I find this curriculum, and I use the term lightly, completely appalling. I want to be as clear as I possibly can. My children are not to be taught anything regarding CRT, SEL, or items of a sexual nature of any kind, genitalia, gender, gay, lesbian, transgender, gender orientation, sexual preference, sexual behavior, LGBTQ, or anything else to do with sexuality. I will gladly have them not attend on school days if there is no alternative.
I do not give my permission for my children to partake in any health screening or testing done by the school or any outside 3rd party the school may contract with.
My child(ren),(child’s name), will not be taking any types of surveys or questionnaires without my prior written approval.
This is in accordance with the following New Jersey Statutes:
N.J.S.A. 18A:35-4.6. Title of act This act shall be known as the "Parents Rights to Conscience Act of 1979." L.1979, c. 428, s. 1, eff. Feb. 11, 1980. N.J.S.A. 18A:35-4.7. Parent's statement of conflict with conscience Any child whose parent or guardian presents to the school principal a signed statement that any part of the health instructions, family life education, or sex education is in conflict with his conscience, or sincerely held moral or religious beliefs shall be excused from that portion of the course where such instruction is being given and no penalties as to credit or graduation shall result therefrom. L.1979, c. 428, s. 2, eff. Feb. 11, 1980.
Any violations of my rights in this matter will be responded with any and all appropriate legal action. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Regards,

100% won’t work. At that point just pull the kid from school.
I have to physically sign my middle schooler out of school for the 20 min SEL lesson 1-2x month.
