The State does not Mandate Curriculum
Clarification Regarding 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards
There has been some confusion about what is mandated. Here is the letter from the department of education that makes it clear. Please read the Date Broadcast Memo (nj.gov) to stay informed.
This may be counterintuitive to our previous article where the NJDOH confirmed that you can’t opt your child out of gender identity and sexual orientation.
You CAN opt out of Sex-Ed in health class, you CANNOT opt out of gender identity and sexual orientation included any other subject.
This is where it where you come in. You need to insist that YOUR DISTRICT does not include these things in ANY OTHER SUBJECT. There is no rule in NJ that states that your child must read a gender identity book in ELA or do a woke word problem.
We can all agree that strongest curriculum is one reflecting the input and expertise of the entire school community, including educators and families, just like the NJDOH stated. There are NO EXCUSES from your BOE and superintendent. The state does not create curriculum. Garwood, and others, turned down the new state learning standards declaring that there is no “age appropriate” materials that can meet the state standards.
Don’t get the run around from your superintendent.
ANY school that puts the gender identity & sexual orientation included in any other subject needs to be investigated. Their bank records need to be subpoenaed for their affiliation with any pharmaceutical company and a claim must be filed against them. I'm not an expert on this but in a telegram site under 'Alphonse Faggiolo' IS! There are numerous files shared and necessary paper work to get you on your way to continue protecting your children but with a whopping punch in their pocketbooks. And every child you ever come across at a family function (who speaks with you) i.e. need to be reminded to tell their parents every thing about their day in school and how the teachers treated them and any assemblies or films that they see. Frankly, I hope the parents push for permission slips on all assemblies, videos and in school and summer reading. AND opt for the Constitution to be thoroughly taught along with the Bill of Rights.
Great article. It’s a pretty simple explanation.
