Outstanding reporting! Mental illness is not a civil right; it is something that requires serious professional help.

Very disturbing. You are correct. Parents need to speak up. Sadly, Lavendar needs to get some help. But Lavendar is not a role model for children. Sorry. We hold many jobs to a higher standard. A teacher is one of those jobs.

This is probably the most disturbing story I have read. Who's going to the next BOE mtg? I didn't listen to any of the songs. I will not subject my soul to that.

Roselle Park's next BOE meeting is June 6th at 7pm. Roselle Park High School.

This man obviously has a fetishism he wants to expose children to and I'm glad he was fired but we all need to figure out how to make his advocates/activists back down.

Maybe the BOE meeting is great place to share the photos and lyrics... show the audience what kind of “victim” Lavender is. It’s more like, normal people exposed to his content are the victims!

Parent should get up and read the lyrics

But the irony is, whoever got up and read the lyrics, etc, would probably be forcibly removed for indecency

What should we be calling schools now? They’re not meant for civilized society. It doesn’t feel like they’re meant to educate children in the sense of giving them thinking skills. It’s like Lord of the Flies inside those walls. Yikes.

I’m proud to say the minute my son advised me he was asked to call a male teach by a female title i questioned it, and within hours we had emails out. My main concern was that this person was not allowed near my child again, and while the reply’s were carefully worded they did immediately take action. I wasn’t able to attend the meeting but from what I hear the 1 person that spoke out did so in a respectable fashion and then there were crickets. Our society has become numb to mental health issues and we go above and beyond not to offend even when it’s as clear of an issue as this. Our educational system is slowly brainwashing our children by normalizing clear mental health issues. Most children know the difference between a boy and a girl, but if they speak up about it, they are quickly put in their place. Like my dad used to say, I feel bad for the next generation because this generation is really screwing stuff up!

In the name of God I will never understand how or why this happens.

Time for all parents to unite again at the June 6th meeting. I am so thankful my son attends a private school but it doesn't stop me from fighting for ALL kids! Instead of seeking help for these mentally ill & evil people, the LGBTQ +++ community want to normalize & encourage this! These people are a danger to themselves, others and ESPECIALLY to CHILDEN! I am glad this man was fired 3 times, however it also means he was hired 2 more times after the first incident- how does that even happen? Parents better wake up & show up! Let the BOE know we will contine to protect our children at all cost!
