This is unbelievable! An outright attack on our first amendment rights. At what point will people say enough is enough and push back against this fascism?!

Unreal. And disgusting of the attorneys to take the mayor's case to use scare tactics on a mom. These people are evil and will implode within their own evil. People are awake and will not have it. I got rid of my Facebook account over a year ago and have not regretted one moment of that decision.

Let me preface my comment first by saying I am in no way defending this Mayor. I am only citing my statements based on facts and law.

Here's my take from what I've read and heard. There was information passed onto the NJ AG regarding allegations of sexual misconduct of the township Mayor and minors, but that doesn't mean the AG decided to investigate or is already investigating, unless someone has evidence of that.

It is reasonable to assume that a community member believed the Mayor is being investigated due to the fact information was passed on to the AG. Now that the letter from the law firm is stating there is no investigation taking place, this community member who received the CEASE and DESIST letter, should not make any claims that the mayor is being investigated, since they have now been put on notice.

At this point, the Mayor has no grounds for a lawsuit because for defamation to occurr, there needs to be:

1. A statement made as if it's fact

2. The person making such statement knows it's not a fact

3. Damage occurs to the person's character/reputation

Based on one of the Town Council member's statement, there seems to be a cover up of something that did happen, which he cited was a crime.

Richard Brescher is saying in the video that somebody came to him about an allegation and he sat with her for 3 hours. He said he will not remain quiet.
