I am fully qualified to teach my kids about the meaning and responsibility of sexuality inside the protected walls of my family. My family will not rely on the STATE for any help in that area -- we do however, count on the STATE SCHOOLS to teach our children how read, consider, approach problems, appreciate other cultures....

So much going on in our schools. What I don't understand is how are certain explicit pictures, books, assignments happening in some, not in others. What is the difference?

It absolutely is difficult to predict what district will introduce inappropriate content. It is a mix of parental involvement, superintendent, activism groups in the area, an informed BOE and rogue teachers. There is some formula here involving all these factors. The biggest factor is parents must SPEAK OUT! and MUST get involved.

I'm heartened to see the school board member will no longer be in a position of authority. Now we wait for the various balls in the air to come to earth.

I'm most interested in how the military college officer/instructor came to be involved. THAT may open up even more avenues of discovery.
